By popular demand SCHMIDT has developed the SmartPress with Cycle Permissive and Part Presence Sensing Controls for SCHMIDT Manual Toggle Presses. The SmartPress features a modified SCHMIDT® Return Stroke Lock, pneumatic cylinder, pneumatic package and small PLC.
Certain conditions have to be met before the press can be cycled. After the operator has completed a full ram stroke the device releases the handle, so the ram can return to the home position.
