rn The Hardware:

rn – ZRF-P 2010 dual-lane timing belt conveyor. nnrn – Integrated pallet escapement queue and stop/justify/clamp. nnrn – Pallet elevator with integrated roller conveyor. nnrn – RSB-P 2255 gravity roller conveyor with end stop.nnrn – Leveling type 56.2 stand system with lagable floor brackets. rn

rn nnrn The Specs:

rn – Phenolic (lab resin)pallets with a capacity of 100 lbs./ea.

rn – Sew 230/460VAC, 3Ph, 60 Hz, Inverter duty gearmotor.

rn – Speed of 20FPM (constant) with indexing ability.

rn – Infeed conveyor timing belts with Nylon covers for increased capacity and facilitation of pallet accumulation.

rn – SMC pneumatic actuators with PNP M8 Eurofast sensor cordsets.

rn The Details:

rn Lab resin was selected as the material of choice in this application for its dimensional stability, low cost, free machinability, and availability.

rnnnrn Brass bar inserts were fitted into the features of these pallets which are used as engaging surfaces for the escapement, stop/locate, and clamp as well as proximity sensor flags.

rnnnrn Ensat threaded inserts are installed at customer-specified locations to accommodate the fixtures that will be mounted atop the pallet surface.

rn The Logistics:

rn After an on-site meeting with our customer and Engineering staff, an application specification was defined and realized in a 3D digital prototype and 2D CAD drawing submitted for approval. In conjunction with mk, our distributor served as an integrator; specifying, supplying, and installing all of the necessary controls and pneumatics service components; allowing the successful delivery of a fully functional and tested turn-key pallet handling system for which our customer was present to witness and approve.nnrnnnrn

rn Due to the critical nature of the project timeline the completed system was immediately crated and shipped via courier, arriving at the customer’s dock that very afternoon.nnrnnnrn
