SCHMIDT® Technology is always looking for ways to improve our product offerings and this month, we are pleased to announce the release of our new ergonomically designed Nr. 111 Toggle Press. Modeled after our popular Nr. 113 Toggle Press, this press offers a handle that is pulled in the horizontal to reduce motion on the shoulder. It also can improve cycle time by allowing the operator to keep their hands down, closer to the pressing area, instead of having to raise their hands away from the pressing area. This new press has a maximum capacity of 2,640 lbs, with 44 lbs pull on handle, includes standard SCHMIDT Technology press features such as a precisely guided and torsion proof ram, adjustable working height, precision ram & table bores aligned to within +/-.05mm from the factory and can be fitted with Available with our Return Stroke Lock & Micrometer Adjustment options.nnrn

A Solution For Your Customers

Often times applications arise that require transporting a product from the sides instead of on the bottom. These applications can include reading or printing the bottom of a product, removing fixtures from pucks, and handling parts with long stems. Based on customer demand for such conveyors, mk has developed a design for side gripper conveyors.

Using our standard GUF-P 2000 conveyors and our VST linear modules we are able to offer side gripper conveyors with an adjustable opening. The adjustable opening allows customers to fine tune the grip on these conveyors and accommodates a variety of product sizes.

The GUF-P 2000 conveyors are typically 50 mm wide, but can be wider for taller products, and the belts are v-guided to allow proper belt tracking when running the conveyor on the side. We offer a variety of belts for these applications as well, including foam backed belts for delicate parts, tacky belts for slicker parts and the standard rough top belt

The conveyors feature two independent motors that are tied together using a single controller. Motor and controller voltages are available in DC and AC, and allow for single and three phase inputs. These units can be supplied complete with a custom stand designed out of our standard profile and components, or the customer is welcome to provide their own mounting. As a custom conveyor, these units are not shown in our catalog or our web-site, but we do build several of them a year and are seeing an increase in requests for them. Since they are not shown in any of our current literature, please contact Blettner Engineering to have drawings and photos of previous units sold sent to your interested customers. Since these are custom conveyors, please note that approval drawings are required for all orders, ensuring you will get exactly what they are looking for. The lead-time on these conveyors ranges from 4 to 6 weeks dependent upon the options chosen and the complexity of the custom stand system.
